After several years as a newspaper columnist and television sit com writer and as a satirical television reporter in America and Australia, Kathy Lette has written ten bestselling novels which have been translated into 17 foreign languages and are now published in more than 100 countries. Two of her novels, ‘Mad Cows’ and ‘Puberty Blues’, have been made into motion pictures. She first achieved succes de scandale as a teenager with the novel ‘Puberty Blues’, which was made into a major motion picture.
What makes Kathy’s books so different from the general crop of Chicklit is that she deals with real issues. ‘Puberty Blues’ is about how some young Australian girls allow themselves to be treated like dirt by their Surfer Boyfriends. ‘Mad Cows’ is about childbirth and ‘How to Kill Your Husband’ is about marriage and infidelity and love. Her new novel ‘Honour and Betray (Till Divorce Us Do Part)’ concerns a women in her forties facing life as a single parent. This novel is being made into a TV series by critically acclaimed film producer Andy Harries.
Kathy lives in London with her husband and two children. She is a regular contributor on television, from Jonathan Ross and Richard & Judy to BBC Breakfast and Newsnight.
